Membership Requirement
For a student to participate in KMEA honor groups the sponsoring teacher must be an active member of the Kansas Music Educators Association.

Sarah Houston
Sarah Houston is a music educator born and raised in Lee's Summit, Missouri. Sarah holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. During her time at UMKC, she sang under the direction of Dr. Charles Robinson and Dr. Robert Bode. Since 2012, Sarah has served on the Allegro Choirs of Kansas City staff as a director of Poco Allegro, Primo Allegro and as an assistant to Allegro con Brio and Allegro con Moto. Sarah is in her 11th year of teaching music in the elementary schools. Starting her teaching career in Kansas City Kansas, Sarah is currently teaching in Lee’s Summit, Missouri.
