High School Orchestra
Register your students online prior to midnight on October 14, 2020. Late audition registration (with
fee increase) is due by November 6. New teachers—it is highly encouraged that you talk to your
bookkeeper to make sure checks will be cut in time for this event (it has been an issue with some
districts in the past). On-time registration fee is $10 per student; late entry fee is
$20 per student; and on-site entry fee on the day of auditions is $50 per student.
Audition registration is hosted in the KMEA Members site (link in the Registration tab).
Students in grades 9,10, 11, and 12 are eligible for this ensemble.
Auditions will be held Saturday, November 7 at Eudora Middle School, 2635 Church Street, Eudora,
KS 66025, beginning with student registration at 7:30 AM. We ask all teachers to meet at 7:00 AM
to go over the audition process. Follow signs in the school to location of the orchestra directors'
Teachers will be expected to be a part of the audition process and are encouraged to attend the
NEKMEA Fall Meeting on Monday, September 14, at Lawrence Free State High School.

Students can wear casual clothes and are encouraged to bring a music stand for the warm up room
on audition day. There will be snacks available for purchase in Eudora Middle School. If chosen for
the District Orchestra, students are expected to wear their school's concert uniform (black dress or
